A Song That Stuck With Us
There are certain songs that come and go, and then there are the ones that stay with you. For me, one of those songs is Let It Grow by Bombargo. I find myself coming back to it often. Over time, it has become more than just something to listen to, and more of a reminder.
A reminder to slow down and that growth doesn’t have to be rushed.
The message of the song is simple, but powerful: nurture the things that matter, stay positive, and allow life the space it needs to unfold.
Sometimes we just need to let it grow.
Growth Takes Time
Nature is full of quiet examples of patience. Seeds don’t sprout the moment they touch the soil. Trees don’t grow tall in a single season. Even the strongest forests started with something small and unseen beneath the ground.
Growth happens slowly.

Often, the most important part happens where we cannot see it at all. Roots spread long before leaves appear above the surface.
Life works the same way.
We plant ideas. We begin new projects.
We try to build something meaningful. But when we don’t see results right away, it’s easy to feel like nothing is happening. The truth is, progress is often unfolding quietly beneath the surface.
Trusting the Process
The world we live in moves fast. We’re constantly encouraged to do more, achieve faster, and see results immediately.
But not everything meaningful works that way. Creativity takes time to develop. Relationships take time to deepen. Even personal growth takes patience and reflection.
Trying to force growth rarely helps it thrive. In nature, the healthiest plants grow when they’re given the right conditions; sunlight, water, and space.
The same can be said for our lives. When we focus on nurturing the things that truly matter, kindness, creativity, connection, and curiosity, growth tends to follow naturally.
Let the Good Things Grow
The message behind Let It Grow is something I’ve carried with me more and more.
Not everything needs to be pushed forward with urgency. Some things simply need time.

When we take a moment to slow down and look around us, nature reminds us how life is meant to move. The wind moves through the trees without rushing. The seasons change in their own rhythm.
Growth isn’t something we always have to chase. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is continue tending to what matters and trust that it will develop in its own time.
Keep nurturing the good things.
Keep showing up for what you believe in.
And when the process feels slow, remember that something may still be growing beneath the surface. Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply let it grow.
