Part of Life

"You are allowed to grow at the pace of the earth."

"You are allowed to grow at the pace of the earth."
"You are allowed to grow at the pace of the earth."

Somewhere along the way, many of us began believing we had to earn peace. That if we worked hard enough, healed enough, achieved enough, or became enough, we'd finally arrive at a place where life felt complete.

But nature tells a different story. The earth has never promised a life without storms. Instead, it shows us that every season has its place. Sunshine nourishes, rain restores, fire renews, and winter makes room for spring.

Nothing in nature is failing because it's changing. Neither are we.

We Are Nature

We dont live on Earth. We are earth, experiencing itself for a little while

It's easy to admire an ancient forest or watch a river winding effortlessly through the landscape and think we're simply visitors. But we're not.

We belong here. The same rhythms that guide the tides, the changing seasons, and the quiet growth of the trees also exist within us. We have seasons of energy and seasons of rest. Times of certainty and times of wondering. Moments when we feel rooted, and moments when we feel completely adrift.

None of it means we're lost. It just means we're alive.

Growth Often Happens Out of Sight

When we stand beneath a towering redwood or a mighty oak, it's easy to admire its height. We see the branches reaching toward the sky, the thick trunk weathered by time, and the quiet confidence of something that has stood through countless seasons.

What we don't see is everything beneath our feet. Long before a tree stretches skyward, it spends years establishing its roots. Those roots anchor it against powerful winds, search for water during seasons of drought, and create the foundation that allows it to keep growing for decades, or even centuries. The strength we admire above ground is only possible because of the unseen work happening below it.

"Some seasons are for blooming. Others are for becoming."
"Some seasons are for blooming. Others are for becoming."

Wildflowers tell a similar story. After their vibrant blooms fade, they don't disappear because they've failed. They retreat beneath the soil, quietly storing energy and preparing for the next season. To someone passing by, the meadow may seem empty. But beneath the surface, life is still unfolding.

Even rivers teach us patience. A canyon isn't carved in a day. It is shaped by countless drops of water moving steadily over time. One drop may seem insignificant, but together they transform solid rock into landscapes that leave us speechless.

Nature rarely changes overnight. It grows through consistency, resilience, and time. Maybe our lives aren't so different.

We often expect our progress to be obvious. We want to see immediate results, clear milestones, and visible success. But some of the most meaningful growth doesn't happen where others can see it.

It happens in the quiet decisions. The conversations that heal old wounds. The courage to begin again. The choice to keep going when no one is watching. Not every lesson is visible. Not every victory is celebrated. Sometimes the greatest transformations happen beneath the surface, long before the world ever notices.

And that's okay. Nature has never measured growth by how quickly something blooms. Neither should we.

Finding Eutierria

"Wonder lives in ordinary moments."
"Wonder lives in ordinary moments."

There are moments when life becomes wonderfully simple. Standing barefoot in the grass. Watching sunlight filter through the trees. Listening to birds greet the morning. Feeling a cool breeze after a warm summer day. Watching a river wind effortlessly through the landscape. Pausing long enough to notice the scent of pine after a summer rain.

These moments may seem ordinary, but they're often the ones that stay with us. Not because something extraordinary happened... But because, for a brief moment, we felt completely present.

There's a word for that feeling: Eutierria — a deep sense of connection to the earth and its life forces.

It's the quiet peace that settles over you as you watch waves meet the shore. The awe of standing beneath towering trees that have witnessed centuries pass. The comfort of warm sunlight on your skin after a cool morning. The reminder that life has always moved at the pace of nature, not the pace of our calendars. Perhaps that's why these moments feel so restorative.

When we reconnect with the natural world, we often reconnect with ourselves. We remember that we're not separate from the earth. We are part of it. We have seasons of growth and seasons of rest. Times of certainty and times of wondering. Moments when we feel deeply rooted, and moments when we're searching for solid ground.

Nature doesn't judge itself for changing. It simply changes. Maybe we can learn to offer ourselves that same grace.

The next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, step outside for a few moments. Take a deep breath. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Listen to the wind moving through the trees.

You may discover that Eutierria isn't something you have to search for. It's something you remember.

Be Gentle With Yourself

If this season feels heavy, let it be heavy. If it feels joyful, celebrate it fully. If it feels uncertain, know that uncertainty has always been part of every journey worth taking.

"Wherever this path leads, let it teach you."
"Wherever this path leads, let it teach you."

The oak doesn't compare itself to the pine. The river doesn't apologize for changing course. The wildflowers don't question whether they're blooming fast enough.

Nature offers itself grace without hesitation. Perhaps we can learn to do the same.

Every Season Belongs

Life isn't made meaningful because every day is perfect. It's meaningful because every experience shapes us. The laughter. The heartbreak. The quiet mornings. The difficult conversations. The unexpected detours. The moments we never saw coming. Each one leaves its mark, just as wind shapes stone and water shapes the earth.

As you move through this week, wherever life takes you, remember to be gentle with yourself. Step outside. Take a deep breath. Feel the warmth of the sun, the coolness of the breeze, or the steady ground beneath your feet.

Nature has been patiently teaching the same lesson since the beginning of time: Every season belongs. Every chapter has purpose. And every moment, beautiful, messy, joyful, and difficult, is simply part of life.

Maybe peace isn't found at the end of the journey. Maybe it's found the moment we remember that we have always been part of something much greater than ourselves.
