A Rich Life

A Tank Without a Gauge

the most important question isn't "How much time do I have?"

It's "What am I doing with the time I have today?"

Imagine climbing into your car for a journey, only to discover something strange.

There isn't a fuel gauge.

You know the tank was full when you began, but you have no idea how much remains. There are no warning lights. No countdown. No way of knowing whether you're at the beginning of the trip or much closer to the end. All you can do is choose where to drive.

In many ways, life is much the same.

None of us knows how much time we have. We can't refill it, pause it, or save it for another day. With every sunrise and every sunset, a little more of our tank is quietly used, not just in the big moments, but in the ordinary ones too.

And if that's true, then perhaps the most important question isn't "How much time do I have?"

It's "What am I doing with the time I have today?"

Choosing What Fills a Life

It's easy to spend our days chasing more. More money, more possessions, more accomplishments. While financial security can provide comfort and opportunity, it isn't what makes a life feel full.

The moments that stay with us are rarely the things we've owned. They're the evenings spent around a campfire. The laughter that echoed across the dinner table. The afternoon exploring a trail simply because it looked inviting. The spontaneous road trip. The quiet sunrise with a warm cup of coffee and birdsong in the background. These experiences don't just pass through our lives. They become part of us. They shape the stories we'll one day tell and the memories we'll carry for as long as we're here.

Living Rich

A life isn't enriched by everything we own. It's enriched by everything we've lived.

When we look back, it's unlikely we'll remember every purchase we made or every item we accumulated. We'll remember the people we loved. The places that left us speechless. The adventures we almost didn't take. The ordinary moments that quietly became extraordinary simply because we were present enough to notice them.

So this week, choose something that enriches your life. Take the scenic route. Watch the sunset. Share a meal with someone you care about. Walk beneath the trees. Learn something new. Create something with your hands. Because our tank is always burning, whether we think about it or not.

The beauty of life isn't found in how much time we have. It's found in how deeply we choose to live while it's ours.
